The Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Rise Kohyang Tritons at 3:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Los Angeles Leadership Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 25-8 loss to Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Andrea Vazquez, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that she grabbed two or more steals.
Meanwhile, Rise Kohyang scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They skirted past Animo De La Hoya 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Rise Kohyang has posted yet this season.
Los Angeles Leadership Academy's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for Rise Kohyang, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
