New Milford has gone 9-1 against Bunnell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Green Wave will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. New Milford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

New Milford is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Joel Barlow, who was ranked eighth at the time (New Milford was ranked 20th). The Green Wave fell 6-3 to the Falcons on Friday. The Green Wave have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

New Milford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Bell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Bunnell came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 12-9 win over Notre Dame Prep on Thursday. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Lancers on their field since April 23, 2021.

New Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Bunnell, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

New Milford took their win against Bunnell in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Green Wave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
