Basketball Recap: Burke County Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Burke County had won two straight road games and Kristasia Hilton did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Burke County Bears breezed by the Glenn Hills Spartans to the tune of 65-14 thanks in part to Hilton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Jasmine Jones was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight assists and seven steals. She is becoming a predictor of Burke County's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when she doesn't).

Burke County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Thomson the next time they take the court. Burke County will host Thomson at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Glenn Hills will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
