Football Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

After soaring to 38 points the game before, Columbia was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 26-8 to the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

The critical scores for Pungo Christian Academy came from Carr Eagles, Jackson Walker, Parker Byrd, and Waverly Waters.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pungo Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will welcome Northeast Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they will square off against Mattamuskeet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
