Basketball Recap: Harrison Jones Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Albemarle School

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brunswick Academy, Ridgecroft was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They secured a 70-64 W over the Albemarle School Colts. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.

Ridgecroft's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harrison Jones led the charge by putting up 17 points. Jones' big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaleel Woodley, who posted 15 points.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Javonte' Borg, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 23 points. Thanks to that strong game, Borg now owns an excellent 47.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Albemarle School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ridgecroft is set to square off against their familiar foe Lawrence Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Albemarle School will challenge rival Kerr-Vance Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
