Softball Recap: Mcewen's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

McEwen has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-3 to the McKenzie Rebels. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Kylie Ange spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and nine unearned) runs on 13 hits.

On the hitting side, Tylee Tummins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Littleton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, McEwen fell to 3-1. As for McKenzie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, McEwen will take on Gibson Southern in a tournament on Friday. As for McKenzie, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 5:00 p.m. on April 3.
