Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Thales Academy Apex Titans
The Bunn Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Thales Academy Apex by a score of 81-69. The win was just what Bunn needed coming off of a 61-37 defeat in their prior game.
Jameir Strickland continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Bunn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Domantea Cooke, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Bunn is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Thales Academy Apex, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Bunn will head out on the road to face off against Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Louisburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. Thales Academy Apex will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th.
