Soccer Recap: Waukegan Falls Short of Mundelein in the Playoffs

Waukegan and Mundelein squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Waukegan had to settle for second. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Mustangs who were credited with the win. Waukegan fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Mundelein since Saturday.

Cristian Ramirez and Oswaldo Lopez scored both of Waukegan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Waukegan and nudges their season record down to 8-8-2. As for Mundelein, their victory bumped their record up to 3-18-1.

Waukegan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mundelein, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Hersey on the 21st.
