Ashbrook got themselves on the board against North Gaston on Friday, but North Gaston never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 44-0. The Greenwave's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Ashbrook was led to victory by Aj McClain and Martino Smith. McClain rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, while Smith rushed for 44 yards and one score.

Ashbrook's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.7 points over those games. As for North Gaston, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Ashbrook and North Gaston will both be playing Kings Mountain the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Greenwave will host them at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
