Soccer Recap: Northern Potter Comes Up Short

Northern Potter might've scored the first goal on Monday, but it was Elk County Catholic who claimed the real prize. The Panthers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2.

Lilly Steele and Owen Daniels scored both of Northern Potter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Northern Potter now has a losing record of 3-4-2. As for Elk County Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Potter will host Port Allegany at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northern Potter will be up against Port Allegany's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.8 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elk County Catholic, they will take on St. Marys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
