Wilcox County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Wheeler County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wilcox County Patriots will look to defend their home field against the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Wilcox County sitting on five straight wins and Wheeler County on three.

Wilcox County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Telfair County 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Deacon Harper made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bo Bloodworth was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Myles Davis was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Wilcox County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Wheeler County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Treutlen.

Wheeler County's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Wilcox County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Wilcox County was able to grind out a solid win over Wheeler County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 6-2. Does Wilcox County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wheeler County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
