John Paul II's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on December 6th. They put the hurt on The Christian School at Castle Hills with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Guardians.

Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial took care of business in their home opener on Monday (barely). They won by a goal and slipped past La Vernia 3-2.

John Paul II now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Veterans Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
