It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but The Meadows School ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Moapa Valley Pirates 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The Meadows School's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Brown, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Benjamin Chilton also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for The Meadows School and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Moapa Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Meadows School will host Mater Academy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moapa Valley, they will take on Mojave at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mojave has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something Moapa Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of.
