Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Dinuba Emperors

The Lemoore Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Dinuba Emperors at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lemoore knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Dinuba likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Lemoore didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Frontier, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory.

Lemoore's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kobe Green, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds, and Kaden Lopes, who shot 4-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Papa Laye was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Dinuba had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against Tulare Western by a score of 67-59. Given Dinuba's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Tulare Western is ranked 529th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lemoore is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Dinuba, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Lemoore strolled past Dinuba in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 55-37. Does Lemoore have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dinuba turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
