Basketball Preview: North Forrest Eagles vs. Pass Christian Pirates
The North Forrest Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Pass Christian Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Forrest has three straight wins, Pass Christian has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
While North Forrest didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against West Marion by a score of 56-46 on Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Forrest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklynn Adams, who posted 19 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Adams' fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laken Wilson, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.
Meanwhile, Pass Christian played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-31 loss at the hands of Perry Central. The Pirates were down 52-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Pass Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Forrest, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Things could have been worse for North Forrest, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Pass Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
