Volleyball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-15. They lost 3-0 to the Centaurus Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Gabriela Medina-Valdez paced Skyline's offense, picking up 15 kills. Medina-Valdez got some help from Lizeth Medina-Valdez and her 20 assists. Mikaela Stromquist controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

As for Centaurus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

Centaurus can attribute much of their success to Lucy Lane, who had 16 digs. That's the most digs Lane has posted since back in August.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Silver Creek on the 23rd. As for Centaurus, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fairview on the 23rd.
