Softball Recap: Douglas County West Beats Fort Calhoun for Their Third Straight Win

While Douglas County West's win against Fort Calhoun wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcon skirted past the Pioneers 14-13. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcon, who have now won three matches in a row.

The team relied heavily on Bella Zach, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. She has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rylan Loewe, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

The win got Douglas County West back to even at 6-6. As for Fort Calhoun, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
