Football Recap: Orting Beats Clover Park for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Orting strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Clover Park Timberwolves, posting a 57-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cardinals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 228th).

Orting got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Poly out in front who picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Another big playmaker for the Cardinals was Mason Belvedere, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Shiron Seniours, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Orting's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Clover Park, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
