Football Game Preview: Fulton Hornets vs. Marshall Owls

The Fulton Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Marshall Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fulton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came up short against Mexico on Friday, falling 63-42. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 28-6 to Moberly. The game marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Fulton couldn't quite get it done against Marshall when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 42-35. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
