Baseball Recap: Glenbard South Comes Up Short

Glenbard South lost against Glenbard North back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Glenbard South fell just short of Glenbard North by a score of 11-10.

Tommy Burke put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Burke was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Gavin Pogorzelski was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Ewald, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Glenbard South's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbard South will head out to face off against Willowbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenbard North, they will venture away from home to take on Addison Trail at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
