Basketball Recap: Central Noble Comes Up Short

Central Noble extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 66-40 to the Angola Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 60-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

As for Angola, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 57.0 points this season.

Angola found their leader in sophomore Niles Knox, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Lantz, who posted ten points and three steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Noble will host Westview at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Angola, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Concord at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
