Soccer Recap: Eastside Early College Takes a Loss

Eastside Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lago Vista Vikings, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 697th, while the Vikings are ranked 324th).

Eastside Early College's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lago Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Eastside Early College will take on Travis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside Early College has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Lago Vista, they will square off against Northeast Early College at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
