Softball Recap: Salmon Finishes Even with Marsh Valley

Salmon saw some tournament action on Saturday. They and the Marsh Valley Eagles finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 tie.

Abby Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Salmon's draw makes their record 1-1-1 this season. Meanwhile, Marsh Valley's record is now 1-5-1.

Coincidentally, Salmon and Marsh Valley will both be playing Firth the next time they take the field. The Savages will head out to face the Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
