Football Game Preview: Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes vs. Ontonagon Gladiators

The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes will head out on the road to take on the Ontonagon Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Linden-Hubbell has given up an average of 26.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lake Linden-Hubbell is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] just ended the team's five-game winning streak last Saturday. They were dealt a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Miners. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lakes have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ontonagon hadn't done well against Forest Park recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Gladiators had just enough and edged out the Trojans 38-36. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Gladiators as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lake Linden-Hubbell's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Ontonagon, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.
