Football Recap: J.L. Mann Comes Up Short + How To Watch

J.L. Mann extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-9. They took a blow against the Mauldin Mavericks, falling 48-6. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly 42 points.

As for Mauldin, the win got them back to even at 5-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Mauldin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tamari Shepherd, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Shepherd is becoming a predictor of the Mavericks' success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Another rusher making a difference was Kamari Cannon, who rushed for 63 yards and two scores.

Coming up, J.L. Mann will venture away from home to face off against Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for Mauldin, they will welcome Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th.
