Baseball Recap: Idaho Falls Takes a Loss

Idaho Falls lost against Blackfoot back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 11-9. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brauer Herway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI. Tegan Sorenson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Idaho Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Blackfoot, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idaho Falls will host Bonneville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bees will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blackfoot, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.27 runs per game on average), something the Broncos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
