While Enterprise put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Smiths Station. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 38-0. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Enterprise to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Burkhardt, who threw for 205 yards and two TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes. What's more, Burkhardt racked up 130.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Cates Blackmon also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Enterprise's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Walker Turner, Gavin Whiteside, and Corey Means, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Smiths Station's side was Turner, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.
The win (which was Enterprise's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Smiths Station, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Enterprise wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-16 win against Choctawhatchee on the 30th. Smiths Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
