Bellport hasn't had much luck against Smithtown East recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Clippers will be playing at home against the Bulls at 4:00 p.m.

While Bellport was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Smithtown West's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-23.
Meanwhile, Smithtown East entered their tilt with Deer Park on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 3-0.
While Smithtown East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 27-25.
Bellport better keep an eye on Sadie LaPresti. She was instrumental in Smithtown East's win, getting 17 assists and three aces.
Smithtown East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.
Smithtown East's win bumped their record up to 22-4-5. As for Bellport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
