Newark had won ten straight games and Morgan Hergenhahn did her part to make it 11 on Saturday. The Norsemen came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Serena Huskers with plenty of help from Hergenhahn, who had 13 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Newark's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Serena, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Newark will square off against rival Hinckley-Big Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Serena is set to challenge their familiar foe Indian Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
