West Broward came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Somerset Academy Panthers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-27, 25-21.

Max Fischman paced West Broward's offense, picking up ten kills. Fischman really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 36. Finally, he was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

West Broward pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Somerset Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

West Broward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 18th. As for Somerset Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Franklin Academy on the 17th.
