Recap: Marian Mustangs vs. Divine Child Falcons
The Marian Mustangs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Divine Child on Wednesday as Marian made off with a 47-22 victory. Marian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Mckenzie Swanson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Molly McLeod was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Marian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Divine Child, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marian will take on Regina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Regina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Marian is ranked 122nd). As for Divine Child, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mercy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
