Volleyball Recap: Siletz Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Siletz Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Mohawk Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mohawk this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Siletz Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-8, 25-17, 25-14.

Mohawk found their leader in sophomore Hayven Croce, who had eight aces and seven digs.

Siletz Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mohawk, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Siletz Valley will venture away from home to square off against Mapleton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mohawk, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Triangle Lake on the 9th.
