Recap: Hughesville Spartans vs. South Williamsport Mountaineers
The Hughesville Spartans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 28-12 fall against South Williamsport. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hughesville in their matchups with South Williamsport: they've now lost six in a row.
Tyler Wetzel rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Conor Knight was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Hughesville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for South Williamsport, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

As for South Williamsport, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northwest Area at 7:00 p.m. Northwest Area is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
