Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Mars Hill Bible's 13th in Last 16 Outings

Mars Hill Bible proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 24) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Brewer Patriots 6-5. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Molly Wright, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 13 matches. Another player making a difference was Brie Robertson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mars Hill Bible is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Brewer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10-1 record this season.
