Basketball Recap: Corona Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Corona extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Alex Flores. The Panthers strolled past the San Jacinto Tigers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 52-34 thanks in part to Flores, who posted 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Gizelle Acosta was another key player, putting up three points along with ten rebounds and five blocks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3 blocks per game.

Corona's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for San Jacinto, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Corona will head out to square off against Palm Desert at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will be up against the Aztecs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for San Jacinto, they will head out on the road to challenge Murrieta Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
