Neumann entered their tilt with Gateway Charter on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They snuck past the Gateway Charter Griffins with a 50-45 victory. The Celtics have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Griffins, too.

Neumann got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mylee Van De Wouw out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Van De Wouw has posted since back in November of 2024. Hailey Scheffler was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Loss or not, Gateway Charter got some senior leadership from Ashanti Taylor and Jazmyne Trubina. Taylor went 7 of 12 on her way to 14 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Trubina posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Rosario, who put up six points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Neumann has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to field goal percentage: their shooting accuracy was 38.7% in those games and 0% outside of them. As for Gateway Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Neumann wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-41 victory against Donahue Catholic on the 17th. As for Gateway Charter, they will challenge Aubrey Rogers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gateway Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
