Basketball Recap: Golden Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Golden Valley can now relate to. They were beaten by the Jesuit Marauders 77-28 on Wednesday. The Cougars have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Golden Valley's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Jesuit, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Golden Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jesuit, they will square off against Lodi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lodi knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Jesuit likes a good challenge.
