Southwest is a perfect 9-0 against McCollum since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Southwest Dragons will look to defend their home pitch against the McCollum Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Southwest's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home while McCollum has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Southwest had been on a seven-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Southwest Legacy put an end to it on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Southwest Legacy who was credited with the victory. Southwest Legacy got it done in the shootout by posting 12 goals to Southwest's 11. The loss put an end to the Dragons' undefeated start to the season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, McCollum turned things around against Southwest Legacy on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Titans 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cowboys' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 731st, while the Titans are ranked 312th).

McCollum's victory bumped their record up to 6-16-2. As for Southwest, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 19-1.

Everything went Southwest's way against McCollum in their previous matchup back in February, as Southwest made off with an 8-0 win. Does Southwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will McCollum turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
