Basketball Recap: Chavez Academy Comes Up Short

Chavez Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Taylor Prep Tigers didn't end well, with the Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles falling 45-28. If the Aztec Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 53-34 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chavez Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Taylor Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chavez Academy will challenge Hope Of Detroit Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taylor Prep, they will host Michigan Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
