While Taylor's win against Ocala Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 69-67 victory over the Crusaders on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

James Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 10-for-15 to rack up 27 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Christian Nichols, who shot 44% from the field on his way to 19 points and five steals.

Taylor now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ocala Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Taylor will challenge Burns Sci-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ocala Christian, they will square off against Cornerstone Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
