Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Marshall Barristers

The Lincoln Tigers will square off against the Marshall Barristers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Marshall is hoping to do what East Valley couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Lincoln's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Lincoln came out on top against East Valley by a score of 59-46. 59 seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They blew past Roosevelt 83-51 back in December of 2024. The Barristers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
