Football Game Preview: Garland Owls vs. North Garland Raiders

The Garland Owls will challenge the North Garland Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Garland ended up a good deal behind Wylie East and lost 17-3. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, North Garland came up short against Rowlett on Friday and fell 28-17.

Garland will have to keep a close watch on Chris Hampton and Christian Hampton, a pair of players who had a big impact on North Garland's prior game. Chris picked up 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Christian threw for 205 yards and a pair of TDs. Jeremiah Denmark handled things on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.

Garland now has a losing record of 4-5. As for North Garland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Garland strolled past North Garland in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 42-27. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
