Baseball Game Preview: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. Lovett Lions

Rockmart is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Lovett is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Rockmart will host Lovett at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rockmart 2.7, Lovett 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Last Friday, Rockmart narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past North Cobb Christian 5-4. That's two games straight that the Yellowjackets have won by just one run.

Lovett played against Washington on Monday and won via forfeit.

Lovett's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Rockmart, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Rockmart beat Lovett 4-0 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Rockmart repeat their success, or does Lovett has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
