Volleyball Recap: Kennett Takes a Loss

Kennett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats. If the Blue Demons were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Kennett ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Owen J. Roberts' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jillian Mccusker led the charge by getting 11 digs. That's the most digs Mccusker has posted since back in October of 2024.

Kennett's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Owen J. Roberts, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Kennett will challenge Bayard Rustin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owen J. Roberts, they will take on Governor Mifflin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
