Covenant Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-51 win over the Speedway Sparkplugs. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 21st (when they won 80-31).
Isaac Crane was nothing short of spectacular: he went 11-for-15 to rack up 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Williams, who posted seven points along with 11 assists and five steals.
Covenant Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Speedway only posted seven.
When it comes to explaining why Speedway lost, don't look at Drew Matelic. Despite the final result, he shot 60% from the field en route to 27 points and five boards. Marcus Ray was another key player, putting up six points.
