Basketball Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Timpview Thunderbirds
Having just played yesterday, the American Fork Cavemen will jump right back in to play the Timpview Thunderbirds at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, American Fork earned a 77-67 win over Mt. Zion Baptist.

Bryce Mella had a dynamite game, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 33 points and five boards. His big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Ashton Hucks was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

Another player making a difference was Lincoln Holcombe, who posted seven points and seven boards.
Timpview's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for American Fork, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
American Fork beat Timpview 58-45 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Thunderbirds' Jaxon Santiago, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 21 points.
