Basketball Recap: Bell Gardens Comes Up Short

Bell Gardens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Gabriel Matadors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-54 two weeks ago.

Bell Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for San Gabriel, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Bell Gardens will challenge Montebello at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bell Gardens is facing Montebello at the right time seeing as Montebello is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for San Gabriel, they will head out to square off against Mark Keppel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mark Keppel will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something San Gabriel surely won't give up without a fight.
