Football Game Preview: Central Tigers vs. Little Rock Southwest Gryphons + Official Tickets

The Central Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Central and ten for Little Rock Southwest dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Central challenged Cabot on Friday. The game between the Tigers and the Panthers didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 42-28.

Meanwhile, Little Rock Southwest scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were dealt a 49-22 loss at the hands of Pulaski Academy. While losing is never fun, the Gryphons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bruins are ranked 28th).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Little Rock Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Central suffered a grim 33-9 defeat to Little Rock Southwest in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Tigers, Chase Forte (who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and one touchdown while completing 90.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
