Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Hill Panthers vs. Veterans Memorial Patriots

The Liberty Hill Panthers will take on the Veterans Memorial Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 16 games.

Last Tuesday, Liberty Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over Rouse, taking the game 57-45. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Raiders are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Veterans Memorial's way against Pieper on Friday as Veterans Memorial made off with a 65-44 win.

Liberty Hill pushed their record up to 29-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Veterans Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 20-14 record this season.

Liberty Hill ended up a good deal behind Veterans Memorial in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, losing 49-34. Can Liberty Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
