Cypress Bay had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 win over the Everglades Gators on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won nine in a row.

Cypress Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-40 win against Sagemont Prep on the 21st. As for Everglades, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cooper City at 7:30 p.m. on December 4.
